Flowers and Stripes

I love mixing prints and one of my favorite combinations that always seem to work is floral prints and stripes. The reason this works is because they're in the same color family: my skirt is black and white and my top is black, white and pink. My shoes also have a zebra print, so with my clutch, I decided to stick to just pink.

Another favorite combo is peplum tops and pencil skirts. I've worn this skirt here with a loose shirt before but it's the perfect high waist pencil skirt for a peplum top! I added a ribbon instead of a belt because I didn't want any hardware around my waist since my skirt and top are busy enough. I also loved the ribbon on the back... it gave my tight skirt a feminine touch. There is a hint of gray in my top, therefore I chose to wear silver accessories. I usually do silver with gray, but that's a personal preference, not a rule.

Top- New York & Company (sold out, but blue and white peplum here, also super cute!)
Skirt- BarIII
Shoes- Calvin Klein (zebra is sold out, other patterns and colors here)
Clutch- Coach
